PostHeaderIcon Save the Greens

Have you noticed how the bags of fresh baby spinach or pre-cut lettuce seems to go bad very shortly after you purchase it? You can use this quick tip to stop throwing so much of your wallet greens and your natural greens away.

When you bring your bagged lettuce or greensĀ  home, take it out of the bag, line the entire inside of the bag with paper towels (both the sides and the bottom), put the greens back in, and seal the bag with tape or a clothes pin.

The greens will keep for almost three weeks this way. Be sure check it every several days to see if the paper towels are wet and if they are then replace the paper towels, and take out the few leaves that are starting to go bad.

You can save your green and eat them too this way!
